Madison — Today the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) made a formal set of recommendations to be used by Governor Walker’s School Accountability Taskforce. In response to these recommendations Governor Walker released the following statement:
I would like to thank teachers and parents who took the time to provide recommendations to our school accountability taskforce. As we move forward with this initiative, input from teachers, Superintendent Tony Evers, parents, community leaders, and others will be vitally important to the long term success of education reform and implementation of additional accountability measures. Working together we will help support failing schools and replicate successes that work across our entire state, ultimately improving education for all students.
