Madison – Governor Scott Walker announced today that he has selected Kyle J. Sargent to serve as the next District Attorney for Green Lake County.
"One of the most basic functions of government is to enforce our laws to protect and serve the public," said Governor Scott Walker. "With this appointment I am confident that we will be able to deliver justice to those criminals and individuals who chose not to follow the law."
Mr. Sargent received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2001, graduating magna cum laude. Mr. Sargent went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University Law School, completing his final year of law school as a visiting student at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
After completing his education, Mr. Sargent served as an Assistant Attorney General in the State of Delaware’s Office of the Attorney General. He then served as a Judicial Law Clerk in Delaware’s Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Sargent returned to Wisconsin in 2007 to work as an Assistant District Attorney in Outagamie County, a position he has served in for the last four years. He has prosecuted a variety of areas of felony and misdemeanor criminal law, including homicide, robbery, burglary, embezzlement, OWI, and domestic crimes.
