Madison – Today the Governor’s office announced the 2011 holiday tour schedule for the Executive Residence.  Tours include a history of the Executive Residence and a view of main rooms on the first floor, which will be decorated with evergreen trees. 

 

2011 Holiday Tour Schedule

Wednesday, December 7:  Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, December 8:  Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 10:  Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday, December 14:  Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, December 15:  Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 17:  Noon - 2:00 p.m.

 

Along with the tours, Governor Scott Walker and First Lady Tonette Walker have partnered with Second Harvest Foodbank for the holiday season and encourage all tour participants to bring non-perishable food items.  Items donated prior to the tour will go toward Second Harvest Foodbank, which works on behalf of food pantries, shelters, meal sites and other hunger-relief programs in 16 southwestern Wisconsin counties.

There is no charge for admission.  Groups of 20 are required to make a reservation by calling 608-246-5501 or e-mailing alicia.bork@wisconsin.gov.

The Executive Residence is handicapped accessible.
