Project Will Add Up to 50 Positions in La Crosse
Madison – Governor Scott Walker announced today that Reinhart FoodService was expanding to create up to 50 jobs in La Crosse.
“Helping businesses expand and grow to create jobs is a priority for my administration,” Governor Walker said. “I’m pleased that we were able to work with Reinhart FoodService to make their expansion a reality.”
Reinhart FoodService delivers wholesale products to over 40,000 customers including independent and chain restaurants, hotels and sporting venues. The company’s continued growth has motivated the leasing of a new facility, located at 100 Harborview in La Crosse.
John Roussel, Reinhart FoodService Chief Executive Officer said, “We consider La Crosse our hometown. We are so pleased to continue the Reinhart tradition of excellence here.”
The project is expected to create 50 jobs, allow for the retention of 164 existing positions, and represents a total investment of over $2.6 million.
Reinhart FoodService, L.L.C. is eligible for up to $700,000 in economic development tax credits allocated by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) for the expansion project at its La Crosse campus.
The WEDC is Wisconsin's lead economic development agency. Created in statute as a public authority, the WEDC is responsible for economic development activities previously administered by the Department of Commerce, a state agency eliminated on July 1, 2011.
