Governor Walker Joins Alta Resources for Major Job Creation Announcement

Neenah company to increase workforce by more than 1,000 positions by end of 2013

Madison Governor Scott Walker joined company executives and employees at Alta Resources in Neenah to highlight the company’s business growth and job creation.  Alta Resources expects to add 1,031 new jobs by the end of 2013 including 706 positions by the end of this year. Five hundred-seventy positions have already been filled.

“The expansion by Alta Resources is great news for the company and the community, and is a reflection of the growing confidence of Wisconsin’s business climate,” Governor Walker said.  “With private sector job growth as my top priority, I’m pleased that my administration was able to play a key role in supporting this investment and job growth.”

“We are excited about Alta’s growth, which is a direct result of the great people we have and are able to add to our workforce from this area”, said Jim Beré, Chairman & CEO of Alta Resources. “We are well positioned and expect this growth to continue exponentially.”

About 600 of the new positions were created with the help of tax credits from the (WEDC) Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. Under the agreement, in addition to the job creation, Alta Resources plans to invest $1,000,000 into its facility.
